After five years working for Europol in The Hague, Johan Falk returns to Gothenburg to work with the special operations group GSI - an elite force within the Swedish police whose sole objective is to combat organized crime.

Johan Falk infiltrates one of Sweden's toughest criminal gangs and discovers someone is plotting to acquire armor-piercing grenades -which could lead to war on the streets of Gothenburg.

During a seizure of Estonian amphetamines, GSI realize they're dealing with the legendary Russian mafia boss "Mr. K". Johan Falk's team infiltrates the crime syndicate, composed of ex-KGB officers - and find themselves in a deadly trap.

A violent war in the restaurant business has flared up, and Johan Falk learns that one of the restaurants is run by Leo Gaut - a gangster he put behind bars years ago. Forced to seek his old enemy's help with the case, Falk unwittingly triggers a series of cold-blooded acts of vengeance.

Johan Falk and the GSI team go after sex traffickers importing young women from the East and forcing them into prostitution.

When a prosecutor pursuing the most dangerous motorcycle gang in the country is killed in a bombing, the police high command orders GSI to use every means to combat them. But Johan Falk discovers the police themselves may be implicated.
