Overview
Amanda Ripley hurtles through space, a lone speck in orbit around a massive exoplanet. Her oxygen is dwindling; her communications are damaged; her odds of survival are next to nonexistent. Staying alive means staying awake, and hoping that someone hears her. So Amanda weighs her options. And she tells her story.

He offers her the chance to join the operation, hoping it may give her a chance to learn of her mother's fate.
