It's sale time at Peabody's Store. The star bargain is a black tulip mink coat, which Flora Petty and Miss Milton both want.

Flora jumps to the wrong conclusions when she overhears a conversation between Dr Scanlon and his nurse.

Flora always wears her engagement ring on Thursdays, because that's the day that Mr Petty proposed.

Flora and Cissie discover that Miss Milton has put Paradise Lodge on the market. Plans must be made to frustrate the sale.

Flora thinks Gypsy Magdalena's prediction are nonsense, but then strange things start to happen.

The day begins like any other, with Cissie in confusion and Flora in a temper. But then a trip into town makes all the difference.

Cissie is caught at the hairdressers with no money and Flora is summoned to the rescue. Tempted by a perm but put off by the cost, Flora decides to take matters into her own hands...
