A cake party at the Modern Museum in Stockholm became a major international cultural event when Minister of Culture Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth cut a piece of cake from a black marzipan women's body.

Swedish author Carina Rydberg named in her novel" The Highest Caste" (1997) several people in Stockholm's nightlife in a furious deal with the hierarchical vie nocturne in general and a lover she felt offended in particular.

"The Fornicator Coin" - During the summer of 2012, coins began to appear in Sweden embossed with the text "Our fornicator to king". About the same time, a book of outrage to provoke a scandal about the king, was published.

The artist Lars Vilks replicates the debate of the Danish newspaper Jyllandsposten's publication of the Muhammad cartoons by making a series of drawings of the Prophet Muhammad as a traffic-roundabout-dog.
